My name is Børge Espeland. Born in -61. Married to Kristine since -90. We have 3 adult children and 1 grandchild.
My passion for dogs and also other kind of animals is from very early childhood. My first own dog came into our house in -70.
My first Golden Retriever was born I 1977. Since that year it has always been Golden Retrievers in my house. Today there is 4, in addition there is some living with family and
friends. They are all descedants from my kennel Zenanas origin brood bitch born In 1977. Our youngest golden at home is my breeding generation number 11.
My passion for dogs has involved several involvements in different canine clubs. In boards, Showcomitees, obidience. Treasurer and breedcouncils. Today I am a member of the Norwegian Kennel Club Education Committee for new show judges.
Have also has been involved in other breeds as Clumber Spaniel, Giant Schnauzer, Little Lion Dog, Cairn Terrier, Border Collie, Boston Terrier, Norwegian Buhund. Miniature Dachshund, GSD. But the only we have bred is Golden Retriever.
In military I was serving the Norwegian Defence in their own dogtraining school. After 15 months in this duty I continued to live in a show kennel. Breeding and handling dogs for the most renown Norwegian kennel of Golden Retrievers at that time.
In 1982 I was authorized under the Norwegian Kennel Club as a ringsteward. After more than 20 years in the ring I took another step into becoming a judge for Golden Retrieverrs In 2003.
Step by step all different breeds has been studied under the Norw Kennel Club rules for becoming a jugde. After 19 years as judge I was finally qualified as an FCI allround Jugde in 2022.
I have fullfilled more than 400 judging appointment in about 40 different countrie. I have judge at World Dog Show, European Dog Show, Retrievers at Championshipshows in England. Also visited Australia, NewZealand, South Africa and Pakistan as further away appointments.
I have judge once before in Croatia also in Karlovac.
I look very much forward to visit Croatia, Croatian dog people and not least Croatian dogs again.
